I've posted elsewhere about how Vargo's Gothic tarot demanded that I use the Shadow card when doing readings with that deck. Basically, I was shuffling the cards to do my first reading and the bottom card fell, but not all the way to the floor. When I went to grab it, then it fell to the floor. I took that as a sign that I needed to look at that card at the end of my deck interview spread. The card basically said that the deck would kick my butt (metaphorically, of course) if I didn't pay attention to what it had to tell me. So I use the Shadow card with that deck, but not with any other decks.
