Dream team divination 2013-003 jun-jul

Wow, Starri, some pretty intense dreams! Just a few comments...

08/07
I was going to a casual daytime gathering in another state quite a distance away. It was being hosted by a man with whom I share a karmic connection(KC), and was quite excited about the prospect. I was greeted at the door by (KC's) brother who was none to excited to see me. I brushed past him paying him little mind, and rushed up to an undressed Christmas tree, which was no more than three steps inside. I threw my arms around this tree like it was an old friend, giving it a huge hug. In the process I nearly knocked us both over. It was odd the tree being there nearly 9 months after Christmas. It seemed it was there in an obvious spot as a reminder. I was totally aware of the other guests and KC's brother but I didn't care.
Does the term "Tree Hugger" spring to mind for anyone else here? Not to imply that's derogatory.

The dream
I was at a drive through of a fast food restaurant when someone approached my car with this thing. It looked like a creepy mad science experiment gone horribly wrong. A little duck head was sitting on top of what appeared to be a fox midsection (no legs or wings) with duck tail feathers sticking out behind, and it was alive. I was horrified, mortified by it really. I didn't want to take it but the passenger in the car insisted....

...My friend and I get out of the car with the duck to see if this person can help. They are laughing as they take the duck tucking it under their arm while retrieving scissors from their pocket. Three strings were all that had been binding that poor duck all along. This person who was neither male or female, snipped the strings freeing the duck from what now looks like a pelt used as a jacket or wrap, and returns the duck to me. Safe and Sound! whew WHAT A RELIEF!!
DreamEnd

Now tell me, who dreams weirder than THAT!!
This was interesting. I was trying to look at the traits of a fox and a duck. Foxes would be clever and they are also nocturnal while a duck is able to navigate on land and water and things slide off 'like water off a duck's back'. But the notion that two of them appear to be wrapped together but the dream is trying to say they should be separated to appreciate what they really are. Hmmm - not sure where I am going with this but this particular aspect is really standing out for me. :)

Its only Sunday here, so I have one more night to dream for Daniel then will start on Down Under's question.

I believe in Past Lives and being reborn again and again plus some, to "experience", not to pay Karma debts or learn a lesson not learnt (although I would say it could come under experiencing), but of course each to her/his own.

So, as I wanted something a bit different, I would like to know about any "future lives" you might touch on for me as in what you see (e.g. Gender, Job, Appearance, Scene, Glimpses) but MORE IMPORTANTLY what is the "human experience" meant to be for me when I come back that I may not have experienced due to being too caught up in other things or have yet to experience. e.g. To let go of a bad relationship, know what it is like to love, grieve, be murdered, go from rags to riches etc etc etc.

I'm sure it will be a bit of a challenge, but at least interesting in one way or another.

I find this an interesting question, Down! This shall be fun to see what we come up with. I can't wait to start this one and see what everyone gets.

And, after Down Under is done, we are done again for this Dream Team Divination. I would love to start one again for September--so watch for the sign up the last week of August. I probably won't start it till Tuesday, Sept. 3, due to the U.S. celebrating Labor Day that weekend, (and I have a lot of company coming that weekend too!). So, watch for it! :D

now, pleasant dreams everyone!! :D

I've been so wrapped up *excuse the pun* ;-) in the Persied that I haven't given really taken a good look at it..
Initially though, I saw the 3's
Duck is a very spiritual symbol given their abilities

Fly = mind

Walk = body

Swim/to see beneath the surface. = spirit

The three strings that bound the two together.

The cream color of the carpet, even in the midst of the dream , reminded me of Jackie Kennedys suit.

I had yet another dream for you, Daniel! I'm so pleased I'm dreaming so much, but I only wish I had done so for Ty too.

here is your dream--

I dreamed again that I was on a cruise. (What is it with me and cruise ships?? :p) and we had gotten to port--it was someplace like the Bahamas or Bermuda. I was in a gift shop and there were crowds of people from the cruise ship in there trying to buy lots of gifts and souveniers.

I was looking around and saw all these turtle and other sea creatures skeletons for sale. I was not actually interested in them, but because I was sort of stuck by this table and couldn't move forward into teh store anymore for all the people, I happened to pick up this one turtle skeleton to look at. I realized how magnificent this turtle was. As I was admiring it, the man directly in front of me (also a tourist) turned and asked me "what do you have there?" "A turtle skeleton!" I said happily. "Oh no. Not just anyturtle there! That is a special turtle, known as (and I forget what type he said. It may have even been a specific breed of turtle, but who knows?). I went to set him down--but I was about to put him on a shelf of the same table that had other sea creatures skeletons.

All of a sudden they all came alive - though still just bones and two fo them were trying to eat 'my' turtle! I couldn't allow that to happen, so I picked it back up and the turtles arms and legs became even longer and wrapped around me lovingly like it was saying "Thank you for saving me!" It also reminded me of how babies cling to you with arms and legs when you pick them up. I decided right there and then this turtle would come home with me and I bought it.

end of dream.

I did take the liberty to look up in the dream dictionary online what turtles symbolize:

Turtle
To see a turtle in your dream symbolizes wisdom, faithfulness, longevity, and loyalty. It also suggests that you need to take it slow in some situation or relationship in your life. With time and patience, you will make steady progress. Alternatively, a turtle indicates that you are sheltering yourself from the realities of life. You are putting forth a hard exterior and not letting others in. As a result, you are feeling withdrawn.

To dream that you are being chased by a turtle indicates that you are hiding behind a faade, instead of confronting the things that are bothering you.

Sea Turtle
To see a sea turtle in your dream indicates that you are cautious when it comes to expressing your emotions. You may also be a little emotionally sheltered.

eta: I decided to look up the turtle as a spirit guide too--

The turtle totem wisdom teaches us about walking our path in peace and sticking to it with determination and serenity. Slow moving on earth, yet also incredibly fast and agile in water, those who have the turtle as totem or spirit animal may be encouraged to take a break in their busy lives and look around or within themselves for more grounded, long-lasting solutions. Traditionally, the turtle is symbolic of the way of peace, whether it’s inviting us to cultivate peace of mind or a peaceful relationship with our environment.

the above is found here:http://www.spiritanimal.info/turtle-spirit-animal/

it also lists much more on this as a spirit guide, so I highly recommend you check it out, Daniel.

Truthfully I like turtles and would love one as my animal totem but it would fit me exactly!
I was having so many coincidences in the last week and there is a turtle one! on Thursday we had a friends kid staying here in the day (no relation) and I gave him my Nintendo portable gadget (3DS) to keep him quiet! in the game he was playing he kept picking the "turtle" character over and over ;)

another weird thing I just realised I have been playing a game a lot on it (it's very addictive) called Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The turtle character is in a different game with the boy picking it. However in this game you can go on a boat to an island and a turtle takes you on a boat to it! when you are there you can play games to earn money. When you want to leave the island you exit through the gift shop! lol I think your dream had visions of it! It's so exact. here is a website about the island games - http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Island scroll down to the section "Tortimer Island" there is pictures of it and the gift shop! :D a turtle family run the island as a tourist attraction with fun games.

one aspect of the game is digging up fossils for money. However on the island you cannot find them and there is no turtle skeletons, but if you dig up a fossil, they look like a skeleton icon in your bag and you can sell them or give to a national history museum!

the dream really matches the game! so just wanted to throw that in there but if it's not the game, I wonder if that is my animal totem!

I really think Turtle is trying to talk to you, Daniel! Turtle is an animal that I really relate to as well; the first time I went on a journey with the drumming I had a very vivid vision of a sea turtle.

Ted Andrews notes that turtles have an ancient lineage. They could, for example, help to unite heaven and earth (the spirit world and the earth world.) They are slow and methodical and teach patience and deliberation. They also serve as guardians of our Mother Earth and just as a turtle cannot detach from her shell, neither can we as humans detach from our Mother Earth, so we must honor her and take care of her. Turtle is also a reminder to do what we can to stay grounded.

It's possible that one of your guides, your power animal, is turtle and she is reaching out to you. :) So one answer to the question of how you can connect more with your guides is - nothing! Stay still and listen...

Yes, I learned after reading the sites I included in my post on this dream, that turtles are very grounded (which makes sense). I did know that they are in the Cherokee Indian heritage, honored for having carried the world (or is it just the U.S.?) on their shell. They are highly revered in the American Indian culture.

I really think so too. I feel this is why the turtle showed up in my dream for Daniel. It is, at least, something for Daniel to ponder. I also like how you summed it up in your last statement, Mell. "So one answer to the question of how you can connect more with your guides is - nothing! Stay still and listen".

thanks to you both for that info! I really think it is a totem for me!
As well as finding out info about my spirit guides I think the dreams this week threw out information and advice for me. With DUer's dream about watching thoughts and over analysing, the turtle is saying a similar thing. that is peace! I need to slow down and find more peace from my anxiety. Interestingly a tarot reading on this site recently was interpreted that I will achieve more in life by doing lots of meditation. finding peace and ignoring thinking seems to be a big theme for me. Turtles are the perfect simple of that :) slow and steady and calm!

I am not sure what eating or the bones of a turtle represent. I think maybe the need for finding peace. had a look online and bones can represent "uncovering secrets or underlying strengths you have not realised". the aspects of a turtle and spirit guide is perhaps something I just found out.

danieljuk

I agree with this interpretation. I had a vivid dream two nights ago but lost it before I could write it down...blame my crazy cats :( Here's hoping for another dream tonight :D

I do feel that it's about purging any excess thoughts that aren't of a positive nature, so as to open the floodgates required for clear communication and manifestation.

I have cat problems at night too! mine likes to shriek loudly :)

don't worry about it and think you are right about communication! doing divination works best with a clear mind for sure, so this follows!

danieljuk

Actually, I do tend to overthink, over analyse too when I think about it, but honestly that relationship holds no emotional baggage, but rather fond memories now. Resolving problems is another thing, but I try to resolve issues as they crop up, never let anything sit if it can be addressed asap.

However, as it was about a "relationship" which is what you just pointed out, makes me wonder if it is how you "relate" to your guides as in the "relationship" you have with them which is an ongoing battle of whys, why nots, how to find a way etc.

What do you think? :)

I think I agree with you, thanks :)

DREAM TWO:

I am part of an art class group (university) at this lakeside area - bottom of a hill yet on the other side of that hill is our hometown.

Anyways, in this sudden flurry of WE HAVE TO GO, I cant find my back pack and my Nikes have been taken in all the chaos. Some students are going in car pools, others walking, some staying and the group I am with is deciding between going on a car (only not enough room) and/or cabbing it. I decide I am NOT GOING without my backpack or sneakers...HELL NO!:D
So, I opt to stay behind by myself so I can find my belongings.

I do find my bag, but no sneakers.

NEXT thing that happens is I am on a white taxi going up the hill, but I make the driver turn around as I am not going without my dang shoes. We have only driven about 50 metres and he charges me about $11.00 to $12.00 to my disbelief , but all I know is I want shoes on my feet not just socks!:bugeyed: He drops me off at the side of the location we were drawing and painting at and I notice this McDonald sign and restaurant right in the hub of it all which seems odd as it is amongst all this beautiful scenery such as gardens, walkways and lake yet it actually kind of fits in just by itself with only the M showing rather than the whole building which is covered in green climbing plants and shrubbery. However, it does stand out as being different.

As I walk down further, I decide to do some more art work as I have come to terms that the sneakers are gone and either I have to wait for a bus or another taxi, and it is then that I see Mrs Lilly (old friend's mum from my hometown) and she is asking me to join them for dinner later on only she cant stay and I want to paint some more. Strange things is I have paint tubes, but feel I should go up to the McDonalds to pay $5.00 for the paints they provide for students! (No idea why).

The last thing I remember is looking at the lake whilst sitting on a bench opposite it about to start some painting and knowing that beyond that hill is my home, but I have to wait for either a taxi or bus. But I am happy enough.

MY THOUGHTS: I think "nature" is something key for you to opening up a connection through doing things like grounding and/or balancing, so that it can kick start the work needed. Plus to stay focused and determined, like I was about getting my belongings, yet know that there are set backs (lost shoes and backpack), that things will not be so straight forward (sudden flurry to leave/Mrs Lilly inviting me out of the blue) and that not all is what it seems (McDonalds).

Also, with the taxi and bus theme, I think perhaps certain things will happen when they are meant to happen to help you along the way when you are meant to go from one level to the next in your goal to be more spiritual and to connect with your guides.

Best of luck! :)

I really love nature and the environment (I see that as part of the turtle symbolism in CN's dream as well). I do worry with anxiety that I have forgotten things a lot. I can see that in a dream! did I put everything in my bag or my coats? do I have my phone, keys and wallet? I worry about these minor things a lot. In your dream you forgot something major but you still have a time out! it wasn't the end of the world! I am a bit of a catastrophiser :) I think in your dream you happened a little on my thinking process again.

I like your interpretation of the McD's it's disguised in nature. I found on a dream site that it says about the restaurant chain as a symbol "To see or dream that you are at McDonalds signifies happiness and a worry-free attitude. The dream also suggests that you are living large. Perhaps the dream is telling you to expand your thinking or horizons". I guess that depends on someone's view of McD's but I can see it as a worry free place. Also nature can be freedom, tranquillity. I do ground myself in it. paint looking it up as a symbol can represent inner emotions.

really interesting dream, all of the situations are worry free and just relaxing. no need to deal with anything difficult or with stress, I can see the message there and agree with your interpretation :)

Thanks for your FEEDBACK! :)

It is good staying out of here so as not to see others dreams, but SO DANG INTERESTING when it is followed up at the end of the week to see what similarities there are or differences.

Really really cool....

Must say my dreams seemed to have touched on "inner" stuff a lot and a few other things connected to "animals" like "nature" and both are inter connected as we are with both. And just the way you are piecing dreams together is quite impressive that this persons dream touched or was similar this persons or that persons. Rather intriguing like a jig saw puzzle being put together.

Would never have guessed that McDonalds meant something in a dream....wow oh wow!

I didn't feel compelled to look up things this time like the last time we did it as for some reason what I saw as an overview or post dream afterthought, even if not so much at times, seemed to fit and was what the dreams meant to say in hindsight.

Anyways, good luck with connecting to your guides! :)

well, I looked up skeleton and here is what it says, (which, I think makes sense)

Skeleton
To see a skeleton in your dream represents something that is not fully developed. You may still in be the planning stages of some situation or project. Alternatively, a skeleton symbolizes death, transformation, or changes. You need to get to the bottom of some matter. The skeleton may also be a metaphor for "skeletons in your closet." Do you have something to hide?

****************************

I think the 'getting to the bottom of some matter' is probably getting to the bottom of your meditation practice w/o feeling like it is not working. Meditation is so easy and yet so hard too. an oxymoron, I know. But, seems to be true. Once you finally 'achieve' what you are wanting to with meditation, you'll understand this more, I think.

I agree Daniel does seem to be very connected to nature.

We each bring something unique to the group. Whatever is working for you is what you should do. Although I don't always need to, I find it kind of fun to look things up. I must have been a librarian or worked in research in a past lifetime.

This will be very interesting to dream for. I'm going to use my larimar crystal; it is always a harbinger of past life connectivity when it comes up in the crystal readings that I do.

PS - what nickname is best for you? Sometimes we shorten you to DNZer, or Down or NZer...I thought it would work out to DUNZer. How about Dunzee? DownUnderNZer is long to type! What do you prefer?
